We’re so lucky we got to photograph Andrea and David’s DIY wedding, and not just because we’re kindred spirits.  Andrea is a photographer herself, so she understands beautiful getting-ready photos and chose to do her wedding preparations at the gorgeous Lynfred Winery in Roselle, IL.

When we arrived, we wound our way through the shops and tasting area, past the processing area, and up to the suite where Andrea we found Andrea and her bridesmaids enjoying some house wine and putting the final touches on their hair and makeup.  The hallway outside of the suites featured a glass window in the floor that overlooked the fermentation tanks – very cool, but it had us wondering how many unwitting up-skirts the workers below had seen.

The suite was large, with a fireplace in the living room and a full wall of windows that extended into the bedroom, overlooking the vine-covered balcony.  The suite was decorated in delicate tones of pink and gold and was filled with dainty trimmings like jeweled boxes and antique mantle clocks.  Gauzy sheer curtains covered the windows, filtering the light into a beautiful glow over Andrea as she slipped into her wedding gown.

After the ceremony, we returned to Lynfred Winery with Andrea and David to do some bride and groom portraits around the property.  Inside, we found a gorgeous hand-crafted spiral staircase that led to the wine cellar below.

The Lynfred Winery was a great for Andrea to do her bridal preparations, and it would be the perfect setting for a small winery wedding – we hope to bring Joshua Albanese Photography back again soon!
